MATERIALS AND LABOUR GUARANTEE
WEB & CORE TECHNOLOGIES guarantees AIR SHAFTS manufactured by its Group to be free from material and labour defects for a period of 1 YEAR from time of shipment.
WEBANCOR CHUCKS are covered for a period of SIX MONTHSWEBANCOR air shafts are covered under this guarantee for all defects except the following.
1) Rubber bladder,
Deterioration caused by:
-oil in the loading air.
-chemicals spilled or wiped on the shaft that attack rubber.
-use of shaft when air pressure was low. (The leading cause of air shaft failure) Inflate to 85-90 psi. in the shaft.
2)Journals:
-customer welding. (Journals are heat treated, and welding can cause failures)
-customer modification of any kind. (Could go beyond design limits.)
3)Body of shaft:( including lugs, buttons or leaves.)
-using shaft when air pressure was too low.
-using shaft with misaligned bearings.
-bending caused by overloading.
-customer modification in any way
4)Valves-
-usually not covered since most problems occur because
- dirt is blown into the seat,
-improper thread sealing compound used, (do not use a tape product, since it can get into the valve seat, causing no seal.
-improper tools used to inflate or deflate shaft.
Valves are checked during 24 HR air leak test at the factory, prior to shipping.
If modifications are required please contact us, and have the shaft SERIAL NUMBER available. We can either provide the suggested method of modification, or do the modifications for you at our Mississauga address.
***NOTE: WARRANTY time is based on a standard 5 day week of one 8 Hr shift.
